Heroism is a measure of an individual’s, or a group’s, renown. It can be the people’s love and adoration or they hate and fear. Much like manifestation, it grants strength to the individuals benefiting from it.
You gain a point in every characteristic for each level of heroism you gain.
- 1 - Your name is known is several cities, and your actions are known of a few hundred individuals
- 2 - An entire continent and hundreds of thousand individuals know your name.
- 3 - Millions of individuals know of your actions. Statues and worshipers spread your name among the masses.
- 4 - An entire world know your name and venerates and/or fear you. Kings, Emperors, and the like see you as an unstoppable force they should not anger.
- 5 - Your legend spreads among immortals for they see you spreading your wings into the larger universe.
- 6 - Mythical beasts consider you their equal and you instead as much fear and devotion as they do on the worlds you journey to.
- 7 - The universe fears your name. Your enemies tremble no matter the distance separating you from them and billions prey in your name.
Heroism also applies to gear. A weapon, armor, or trinket believed by many to possess mythical powers is reinforced by their subconscious thoughts.
- Renowned - Weapons gain +1 to attacks and damages. Armors gain +1 to all their damage reductions.
- Legendary - Weapons gain +2 to attacks and damages. Armors gain +2 to all their damage reductions.
- Mythical - Weapons gain +3 to attacks and damages. Armors gain +3 to all their damage reduction, and have a 5% (01-05) chance to ignore all damages from a successful attack.
Awaken items are also affected by heroism, gain both a bonus to their willpower like a living being, and the gear renown bonuses.
